The 3 Phases To Cleaning Up After A Construction Project

After a construction project is complete, before you are able to move into the space, you need to clean up the space. The three phases to cleaning up after a construction project is a rough clean, a final clean and a touch-up clean.

#1 Rough Clean

The rough cleaning phases can be one of the most impactful cleaning stages. With the rough cleaning stage, all of the big construction debris that was left behind is removed. Then, all the big construction dirt is cleaned up. Adhesives that got onto surfaces they were not supposed to are removed, paint overspray is cleaned up, goopy caulking is removed and dust is cleaned up. During this phase, all glass will also be cleaned, including glass partitions, sliding glass doors as well as windows. Even the frames of glass windows and doors will be cleaned.

In the rough cleaning phase, all the big debris and dirt will be cleaned up. Your area will feel a lot better, but the cleaning job is not done yet.

#2 Final Clean

Don't be decided by the name. The final clean is actually the second step in the cleaning process. This is where the cleaning team focuses on the details. All the glass is re-cleaned, with special attention paid to the frame and little areas where debris can accumulate. Then, all interior surfaces are cleaned out.

That mean that all bathrooms are cleaned from top to bottom. The fixtures are wiped down, the counters and mirrors are cleaned, the wall tile is wiped down, and the showers and tubs are scrubbed.

Any cabinetry in the space will be cleaned inside and out. The cabinetry will be vacuumed and wiped down with a microfiber cloth to ensure that even the smallest particles of dust are gone.

All the floorboards and floors will be cleaned with the appropriate cleaning materials and products.

#3 Tout-Up Cleaning

This is the final stage in the construction clean-up project. Even after the rough and final clean, there could still be dirt and dust in the air that takes a while to settle down. After a week or so, the cleaning crew will go back through the space, wiping down all horizontal surfaces to make sure that all the dust and debris has been removed. They will also touch-up the glass and make sure that all smudges are removed.

After a big construction project, make sure that you hire a team of professionals to clean up the space to ensure that all the debris and dust from the construction job is properly removed.

About Me

Learning About The Operation Of Industrial Machinery

Hello, I am Gina Delaney. Welcome. I have always been fascinated with the inner workings of industrial sites. I extensively studied the way manufacturing machinery operates to complete each task on the production line. I took an immediate interest in automated systems as soon as they were introduced to this industry. I am always looking for new tech to explore in the industrial world. I want to use this site to explore this topic in detail with my readers. Please feel free to drop by anytime to learn all you can about the way industrial machinery operates in a manufacturing setting.
